LOVE THIS FLOORING.

WHO LIVES HERE????

HAPPY WEEKEND . SPRING IS NEARLY HERE

BRING ON SPRING..... I think of spring and alot of thoughts come to mind.  Mainly the colours that are around , which always reminds me of my time spent with my gorgeous daughters Natasha and Jessica in Italy for 6 weeks in 2004 whilst frolicking through the country side in a very small car on the opposite side of the road getting lost trying to find Siena from Cianti.
Fields of sunflowers as high as us and lots of them flowing in the breeze following the sun with there heads. Those gorgeous greens and yellows and reds that are so beautiful and I reflect on those days when the weather is about to turn.
Living out in Hampton and driving through Ravensbourne can also have the same effect- minus the giant sunflowers but the colours are still magical.
Riding a bike in Spring is always so rewarding and good for losing that winter fat , creating a colourful chair and placing it in a position where you see it everyday is probably one of my favourites.

Good Morning - its Monday!!!

Hi all,

What a weekend, wish it didn't go so fast- really we need a 3 day weekend to get everything done.

It was a sourcing day on Saturday for me - a reno that I am assisting at present in Ramsay and tiles was on the agenda.  There are so many beautiful tiles out there now, unfortunately not a huge amount of choices in Toowoomba so the trusty ipad was very handy searching for tiles down in Brisbane.

One of my favourite tile shops would have to be Traditional Tiles - owned by a lovely lady who lives in Toowoomba , and I have learnt that it used to be in Toowoomba before my time here. What a shame its still not here.

Driving on a Saturday is always a pleasure - when you work all week in Gatton and only see the surrounds of where you work mainly at lunch time , it's so nice to go exploring on the weekends down town in Toowoomba.
I also found a cute shop in Highfields on the way home  that had just opened with an equally cute name Omgoss?? They have some reasonably priced french pieces among other bits and pieces and I wish them all the best.

It was my partners 2nd eldest sons birthday on Friday night so again I was out numbered by all the boys in his family.  It was a great night, a little quiet for a 19th however it wasn't too hard to get up on the Saturday after it thank goodness. And awesome cake from the Cheesecake shop went down rather well.

The weather was great yesterday  with me driving out the Goondiwindi to help Jessica move some pieces of furniture back into our shed.  What a long drive it was , although when you do arrive there it is always nice and quiet and having lunch at the Railway Hotel is always worth the drive. Catching up with my youngest is always interesting -finding out the goss in her life , keeps me on my toes and my mouth open catching flies as she goes in to the finer details.  Oh to be young and carefree again!!

So after a very quick weekend and feeling like i did nothing I received an "after photo" from lovely Jo who adores her revamped piano seat and thought i would share the before and after transformation for anyone who is wanting to change theirs.(see above)

Happy Monday , have a great day

Some of the chairs that I have designed over the past year for very happy clients......if chairs could talk!!!!

Queen Anne chair that was covered for a special client and sits proudly in her entrance.

These two fab blank and white chairs and ottoman went to a lovely lady who went out on a limb and bought something she never would have thought of and loves them.

This cabinet was old and hadn't been looked after - with a new coat of gloss paint and wallpaper on the doors - what a transformation.  The chair reminds me of Victoria Graysons's chair on Revenge - just smaller.

Fire Engine red -so dramatic.

Ruby Red and the perfect fabric.

I love this fabric, comes in black background and cream also with lovely Coralees lips on canvas

Old King Louis ....I love your chair.

Cold Tuesday morning at my house.  Woke up to frost again, when will it ever go.  Hopefully August will quickly go and Spring will arrive along with all those beautiful colours that the Pantone experts have told us are going to be in both for fashion and the home.  I am loving the names they have labelled thes Magical colours they are set to boost our confidence with bold, spirited hues and with names like French Roast, Honey Gold, Pink Flambe, Tangerine Tango, Ultramarine Green, Bright Charteuse, Olympain Blue, Titanium, rhapsody and Rose smoke.  I am particularly partial to Pink Flambe , Tangerine Tango, and Bright Chartreuse and cant wait to get out of my black clothing and feel the mood with some electric colours on my body and in my home.

I started bringing into my dining room  some yellow ,red and turquoise and really i cant wait to Tango with Tangerine.

Once upon a time I owned an amazing fashion boutique in Burleigh Heads -2000-2005 and called it Tangello.  My love for orange and citrus has been with me for years and I am so excited to see that once again citrus colours are about to take over the fashion world again as spring approaches.  Well so Pantone the colour experts say???  Are we really ready for it here in Toowoomba.  I felt comfortable on the Gold Coast as it suited the landscape , however being someone who doesn't like to conform I love the looks I get when i wear my bright chartruese jacket downtown.  I say bring on Spring..

ALTHOUGH ....i am still in love with all things aqua, teal.
Tangerine Tango - yum

Happy Monday

Well that weekend went fast ......................... it was a nice weekend in Hampton for me frolicking around in my work clothes playing with the dogs, painting a clients piano seat, screwing on legs for another client, trying to negotiate with the Cushion Lady who was not running on time, having a few glasses of wine with my gorgeous partner , picking flowers from the garden , going for a walk in the forest and yesterday I got to finally go and see the new Batman movie.  What a movie, it went for 2hrs 45 minutes and was full of action.  The tom boy side of me really came out and I was hooked.  We love you Batman!!  So all in all it was productive, fun , and entertaining.I look forward to every 2nd weekend where we get to have alone time -normally with no children popping in.  Bliss!!

At the moment I am going through a blue faze.  In fact any shade of blue (maybe that's a name for a new book!!)
I am wondering if I am missing the ocean where my family is however this tree change in Hampton is equally and theropedic as well.

Welcome to my blog....all about being a visionaire

Many moons ago I watched a movie called 'Julia and Julia' which focused on a vision by a young lady to cook something different every day from a famous cook and write a blog about it. I was fascinated by this and couldn't quite understand what or how a virtual diary could be of interest to anyone until now. How the world has developed in the world of virtual reality still confuses me however blogs I have found are very good reading and can be both entertaining and interesting.

So..... I'm joining the blog clan and hopefully my visions can put a smile on those faces who may come across these entries one day, give inspiration and knowledge to those in need.  X lisa
