Its Spring Time ...and we all come out of hibernation.

Spring has sprung...... September 2017.


Hello again its been a while since I shared with you all what I have been up to for the past 4 years.

My styling business Lisa Young Designs has been on the move over the last 3 years and over the last 2 years I have settled and loving being in the Tweed Valley in a small village of Uki - 15 minutes from Murwillimbah in Northern NSW.

This village is most famous for Mount Warning which brings loads of tourists yearly to our area.  

Just minutes away from Mt Warning is a sleepy village of Stokers Siding where I had my design studio "Stokers design Studio" showcasing my designs as well as local artisans from the area. It was a pleasure to represent potters, sculptures, artists, jewellery designers and my partner Alan Watts of Watts Design - a local Uki designer specialising in Metal Art.
These are some of his designs that were snapped up very quickly.  Alan is a very humble designer who loves using recycling materials and recreating.

What a year  and finally I'm where I should be.....nestled within a heritage building surrounded by per-loved furniture up an elaborate stair case and wow you will find me .  I am now settling in at Budget Furniture,Annard Street,Toowoomba showcasing my new collections and working my magic at the homes of those wishing to have a make over.

My passion for "creating visions" has now come to fruition and I'm loving my job. As a stylist you often wonder if your own visions are what other people want or like and luckily I have been very fortunate to have a following of innovative clients who love my work. Thanks guys xx

So the name of the game now for me is to spread the word and let everyone know where I am and what I can do for the Darling Downs Region.

FEBRUARY - ALREADY!!! TIME FLYS WHEN YOUR HAVING FUN.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE - WHAT A SLACK BLOGGER I HAVE BECOME.
BETWEEN FACEBOOK, INTRAGRAM, LIFE , MAKING FURNITURE, AND FITTING IN WORK AT POHLMANS ......THERE IS DEFINATELY NEVER ENOUGH TIME IN THE DAY.

SO WE ARE NOW INTO 2013.... I HAVE HAD MY FIRST "POP UP SHOP" FOR THE YEAR THAT WAS NEXT TO COTTON ON IN TOOWOOMA AND WAS A HUGE SUCCESS. 

MY COLLECTION WASN'T NEARLY ENOUGH FOR THE DEMAND (WHICH WAS NICE) AND ONLY A FEW PIECES WENT BACK TO MAISON D'ART AND HAVE SINCE SOLD.

NOW I AM ONTO THE 2ND SUMMER RANGE - OR SHOULD I CALL IT THE WET WEATHER RANGE AS BETWEEN SHOWERS MY PARTNER RUSHES OUT AND SPRAYS THE FURNITURE FOR ME (NOT WILLING I MUST ADD)

2012 Christmas - now a distant memory ..bring on 2013

Well,  I don't know about anyone else but I am still feeling like I have eaten way too much and my fridge is still full of Turkey , Ham and the trifle I can't bring myself to through out as it was way too nice.

Its seems like an anticlimax when Christmas Day is gone and all the stress and worry of not remembering someone or having enough food or drinks has disappeared and we settle back to normality and saving some money instead of spending it all on our loved ones.

Well I was very spoilt by my man and my girls and his kids and my dad and my sister, and brother and families , infact I feel really loved!!

And now back to creating.... look what I have been up to over the month of December.
Still a few pieces left for sale and now onto the Summer collection with lots of bright colours to go with the hot days and cool nights (hopefully)
